Typescript copy of letters home during the South African War, 1900-1902, witha handwritten introduction and notes made in 1951; diary, typed at a later date,covering the East African campaign, 1915-1917; three albums of photographs,including Tanganyika, Rhodesia and South Africa, [1916]-1941.

Charles James Bagenal, OBE (1877-1955) served in the South African War, 1900-1902,in the East Africa campaign during World War One, and as provincial officer,Tanganyika Territory until 1931.
