From J[ohn] P[arsons] Earwaker to JHN. Earwaker responds to JHN's circular asking for information on special collections of books [see also JHN/1/26, 1/54, 1/65/2, 1/76, 1/78, 1/88, 1/103, 1/104, 1/116]. He describes his extensive collection of Cheshire and Lancashire manuscripts, deeds, printed books, pamphlets, tracts etc. and outlines the utility of such collections to the local historian. He also thanks JHN for sending him a copy of Mr Holland's "Cheshire Glossary", upon which he offers some criticism.
