Comprises W. D. Hartley's official documents, diary, and correspondence, a drawing of him by B. S. Lombard in the SS Peter-and-Paul Fortress, Petrograd, and his publications, including (as W. Daniel), Russia 1918: Bolshevism in practice, Stockport, [1919]; also, photocopies of a Russian passport issued to Henrietta Everth, London, 1903, her correspondence and reference given by S. Volkonskaia, and a note on the Volkonskii family
