Administrative / Biographical History
Olive Chaplin was the daughter of Florence Terry and William Morris, therefore making her Ellen Terry's niece. She acted on the stage for a while in her youth under the name Olive Terry. She later married Charles Chaplin and served as the curator of Smallhythe after the deaths of Ellen Terry and Edith Craig. There are references to her in this catalogue under the names of Morris, Terry, and Chaplin depending on which name she was using at the date of each individual file.
