The file contains correspondence and enclosures, file notes and forms covering a variety of topics, such as sub-contractors Mole-Richardson (Stage Engineering) Ltd, scenery hoists, material prices, scenery lift, thermal insulation, Lower Theatre control room, the Lower auditorium, lighting bridges, speaker layout, the Upper Theatre fly tower and safety curtains. Correspondents include Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd, Denys Lasdun & Partners, the South Bank Theatre Board, Sir Robert McAlpine & Sons Ltd, Evershed Power Optics Ltd, Flint & Neill, Gough & Company (Hanley) Ltd, Davis Belfield & Everest and the Greater London Council (GLC). Items include a draft paper on additional expenditure, an enquiry from 'Richard' about the foundation stone, query sheet number 105 showing a sketch of a smoke outlet on the Lower Theatre fly tower, notes on scenery hoist specification 904/SP13A and 13B, a fabric sample, a sketch of the super's room services layout, sketch number SK. 552-15-11-71 of the stage staff area level 39.75' services layout, and sketch number 904/SK.413 - plan of recess for L47 and a sketch showing the final terminations of conduits in the bar store. Original orange folder disposed of. 'Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd' was stamped on the front, and 'ARCH 2A' was written on a sticker on the back of the folder.
