The file contains 'client' correspondence and enclosures, including minutes and reports, sent between Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd and the National Theatre, and between Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd and the South Bank Theatre Board regarding a variety of subjects related to the stage machinery, including the positioning of the proscenium arch in the Lyttelton, maintenance of equipment in the long term, losses incurred by Rank Strand Electric Ltd, progress of the contractors towards completion of their contracts, timesheets and hours worked, failure of the Lyttelton safety curtain, financial reports, disagreement over Mole-Richardson (Stage & Studio Engineering) Ltd using the National Theatre in their adverts, ex-gratia payments to contractors, cost of additional work, legal aspects of the drum contract, operating instructions and manuals, the role of Vickers Ltd, and the handover of equipment to the National Theatre.
