Scope and Content

The file contains correspondence with enclosures largely sent between Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd and Denys Lasdun & Partners relating to the Studio Theatre discussing the auditorium model; the cost of the project; the preparation of drawings, plans and ideas for various elements of the design and fittings, such as the grid, structural steelwork, sound and fire doors, hose reels, flooring, seating capacity, rostra and steel roller shutters; quotations and tenders, including difficulties finding a suitable tender for the electrical and mechanical services, with Crown House Engineering Ltd eventually being awarded the contract for electrical services; and disagreements about proper working procedure between Theatre Projects Consultants Ltd and Peter Softley of Denys Lasdun & Partners.
