Harold Lowe was born in Eglwysrhos, November 21 1882. He later resided in Barmouth. He married Ellen Marion Whitehouse in September 1913 and they lived at Bryn Mostyn, Colwyn Bay. Following his retirement c.1930 he moved to Deganwy, where he lived until his death in 1944. He is buried in Llandrillo-yn-Rhos.
