Administrative / Biographical History
Kathleen Chesney (1899-1976) was Principal of Westfield College, University of London, between 1951 and 1962. She had previously been Vice-Principal of St Hilda's College at Oxford, and was made an Honorary Fellow of the College on her departure for Westfield. See Who Was Who for details.
Mary Ethel Seaton (d. 1974) was a Fellow of St. Hugh's College, Oxford, and University Lecturer in English literature between 1938 and 1941. She was an authority on the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
