Scope and Content

Comprises reports resulting from surveys carried out by the Bryn-mawr Community Study Council into population, agriculture, finance, transport, education, health and industry in Bryn-mawr and Crickhowell, 1929-1930.

Administrative / Biographical History

In 1929-1930 Bryn-mawr Community Study Council, a group associated with the Coalfields Distress Committee of the Society of Friends, undertook a series of sociological surveys in the Bryn-mawr and Crickhowell, an area of south Wales which was greatly affected by industrial decline and unemployment at that time.

Material is incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts , there is no particular order of arrangement.
