Administrative / Biographical History

The Local Government Act 1894 established rural district councils, including Newcastle Emlyn Rural District Council, Carmarthenshire. RDCs were abloished in 1974. In 1935, Llanybydder Riral District Council became part of Newcastrle Emlyn RDC.
