Research papers relating to From Palace to College by Gerry Moss and M V Saville, (1985) an illustrated history to mark the centenary of Queen Mary College. Includes correspondence with alumni and contemporary and past members of staff relating to their experiences at Queen Mary; donations of original illustrations, photographs and other original material, c 1930-1985; and research notes, papers and manuscript drafts, c 1985.

Administrative / Biographical History

Gerry Moss is Professor of Chemistry at Queen Mary, University of London. He specialises in chemical nomenclature especially organic and biochemical nomenclature and pharmaceutical nomenclature. He is the Consultant for the World Health Organisation who names all new International Non-Proprietary Names (all new drugs).

Conditions Governing Access

Open. The Archives are available for access in an Archives Reading Room located on the 2nd Floor of the Mile End Library. The Archives Reading Room is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:30, closed on Wednesdays.
