With the exception of four early letters to his uncle, Richard Perceval Graves' correspondence is with Beryl Graves and largely concerns his work as a biographer of Graves, producing 'Robert Graves: The Assault Heroic 1895-1926 (London: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1986), 'Robert Graves: The Years with Laura Riding 1926-1940' (London: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1990) and 'Robert Graves and the White Goddess: 1940-1985). A number of Beryl Graves's notes and comments on his work are present and the work of the other biographers of Graves - Martin Seymour-Smith and Miranda Seymour - is also discussed. The series contains a bundle of press cuttings about Richard Perceval Graves's biographies of Graves. Richard Perceval Graves also solicits help for his biography of T.E. Lawrence - 'Lawrence of Arabia and his World' (London: Thames & Hudson, 1976) and mentions his other biographies - 'A.E. Housman: The Scholar-Poet' (London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1979), 'The Brothers Powys' (London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1983) and 'Richard Hughes: A Biography' (London: Andre Deutsch, 1994). The correspondence also contains family news.
