Between 1955 and 1956 Graves and Alastair Reid maintained a formal correspondence, intended for publication under the title 'Quoz'. The project was finally abandoned after the rupture between the two men; when Beryl Graves considered revisiting it for publication in the 1970s Reid demurred (see correspondence in RG/J/ReidA/File1). The file contains:-  Bundle of ms notes of an editorial nature in an unidentified hand (14 leaves); also notes in the hands of Reid (1 leaf folded) and Graves (1 fragment)  Ts correspondence between Graves and Reid, with ms annotations, placed in order and paginated (1 to 211); also includes talk given by Reid at Sarah Lawrence College (10 May 1956).  Ts (carbon copy) draft, with occasional ms annotations in an unidentified hand, of 'Quoz'. Also two interleaved ms notes, in Graves's hand; the first uses the verso of ts draft, with ms annotations in Graves's and an unidentified hand, of page 3/195 of a book review, beginning "Again, Plot's use of the word Board [...]"; the second is marked "p8".  Ts draft, with occasional ms annotations in Graves's and an unidentified hand, of 'Quoz'; with title page, and cover bearing name of Willis Kingsley Wing.  Spiral bound photocopy of ts draft , with ms note inserted [in the hand of Beryl Graves?].
