Scope and Content

Correspondence of Richard Carder and Graves is dated from 1968 to 1979; Carder writes on the subject of 'The White Goddess'. Correspondence of Richard Carder with Beryl Graves is dated from 1997 to 1998; Carder writes on the subject of Ivor Gurney, his connections with Graves and his setting of Graves's poems to music. Includes ts transcripts of two of Graves's letters to Gurney c1920, photocopies of Gurney's music and other material about Gurney, a copy letter from Beryl Graves to Carder (5 May 1998) and a ts letter to Beryl Graves from Graham Baker, senior librarian for Gloucestershire County Council (4 March 1998).
