The correspondence in this series is largely from Stephen Spender, commissioning material from Graves, including an interview by Spender, for publication in 'Encounter'. The series includes one letter from John Morris soliciting an article on Menander and Greek comedy (22 April 1959), a note from Melvin Lasky (1 March 1965) enclosing correspondence about Nabokov's translation of 'Eugene Onegin', and a circular letter soliciting comments on the Arab-Israeli conflict, just wars, and the role of intellectuals in political life.
