Correspondence of Spike Milligan

Scope and Content

Photocopies of ms and ts letters from Spike Milligan to Graves, 1965 to 1976, bearing occasional drawings and poems; one original letter (7 July 1975); and two Christmas cards signed by Milligan and his wife Shelagh. Also, one photocopy ts letter from Milligan to Beryl Graves (16 September 1980) and one original ms letter to Beryl Graves (8 December 1985). The series also contains a sheet bearing copies of 'The Owl' motif, marked "Copied by AAR" and "Spike Milligan", and three press cuttings of letters to the editor by Milligan and an interview with his biographer, Pauline Scudamore.

Correspondence arranged in approximate chronological order, following the order in 'Dear Robert, Dear Spike'.
