Drafts of The Fifth Dimension

Typescript drafts with manuscript annotations of a book, The Fifth Dimension, written by Dyson and published by Macmillan in 1996. They have been typed by a professional typist rather than Dyson himself. The book appears to have been begun circa 1993, around the time of the death of Dyson's partner, Cliff Tucker. The work is part philosophy, part theology and part autobiography. Whilst some of the drafts are complete chapters, others are fragments with annotations, and unfortunately the dates of the drafts can only be roughly estimated by the date of other material which was with them but has now been extracted and placed separately. Also included are the publisher's page proofs with minor annotated corrections. These drafts have not been catalogued in any more detail due to their disordered and fragmented state. Also included is a softbound typescript version in several parts and a copy of the dust jacket. Text on folder states "Book on religion (done during Cliff's last weeks on Earth) This is my current revision (June 1993)".
