Signed first edition of the book, Ted Hughes, A Dancer to God: Tributes to T.S. Eliot (London: Faber and Faber, 1992). Contains an inscription on the flyleaf stating "[F]or Tony 'come out of the shadow of this grey rock', your old friend, Ted, 23 October 1992". Inserted is a short note from Hughes stating "[o]ne of the most impressive signs of the total collapse of taste and judgement in our English Literary culture is the complete silence...in which a younger writers have allowed him to drift unread" [referring to R.S. Thomas]. The book contains a number of talks on T.S. Eliot.
