Scope and Content

These papers relate to Dyson's commercial venture with Julian Lovelock, Norwich Tapes, which were audio cassette recordings of academics and poets/authors speaking either about their literary work or the work of others, aimed at A-Level students. Included in the papers is information on exporting and marketing abroad; letters and texts from speakers giving the talks for the recordings; business records and papers relating to 'Critical Forums' for A-Level students; and a planned periodical titled 'Forum' "for teachers and students of English Literature". There are also reports on the use of tapes by schools. Regular correspondents include: L.C. Knights, Kathleen Raine, Helen Gardner, R.S. Thomas, Muriel Bradbrook and Michael Schmidt. Also includes a small file of handwritten notes detailing what Dyson wishes to happen to his estate, after his death.
