The letters are interspersed with newspaper cuttings, concerning inter alia Owens College, and obituaries. The largest section of letters and obituaries relate to R.W. Bunsen, including handwritten notes [by Roscoe?] on Bunseniana, 1899. Most letters are routine expressions of thanks, invitations, condolence etc. Several relate to Roscoe's knighthood.
