Address: Bristol Hotel, Brighton. To Mr Williams. 'I did not ask for the Second Edition of [Henry] Sidgwick's Ethics. I asked for the additions and alterations ... printed separately ... As for the book itself I do not want it. I do not regard it worth the paper it is printed upon.' Autograph, with signature. Annotated in a different hand [?by an assistant of Williams] on the dorse of the first leaf.
