Records of Stoddard International plc, Design Archive, Assorted Persian and Bordered Squares

Scope and Content

A selection of small sketches, all from the late 19th to mid 20th century and Persian in style. Most designs have monograms such as 'JM', 'FJM' or 'DVL' and there are designs by, amongst others, Frederick J. Mayers. Most, though not all, are mounted on hard board and some designs are in the form of promotional boards so, using the design number, can be cross-referenced with STOD/201/1/1 'Catalogues'.

This description is part of the  Design Archive  which is divided into the 142 sections, each with its own separate description.
