The bulk of these records were deposited at the Bodleian originally and were then transferred here with the other Diocesan material in 1985. A further deposit was received in 1993. This has led to the whole collection being recatalogued and brought together under the new cataloguing scheme introduced in 1991. At the same time, some tithe documents which had been deposited in this office in 1979 have been incorporated into the collection. Three further accessions, numbers 4692, 4826 and 4968, were made in January 2000, March 2001 and March 2002 respectively. In some cases the records in accessions 4826 and 4968 precede those recatalogued in 1994, so some reference number have been reassigned.
