Holton is a parish to the east of Oxford. In 1964, it was united with the parish of Waterperry, and then in 1987 it was also united with the parishes of Albury and Waterstock. Since the Rector of this combined benefice lived at Holton, some of the records listed below concern the other three parishes too.
The greater part of the parish records of Holton were deposited with the Bodleian Library in 1964, 1979/80 and 1982. Further records were deposited with Oxfordshire Archives as Acc 1943 in 1980, Acc 2252 in 1984, Acc 3688 in August 1993, Acc 3754 in January 1994, Acc 3838 in July 1994, Axx 4125 in August 1996 and Acc 7019 in November 2022. Appendices list which documents came with which deposit, and provide a concordance for the old and new reference numbers for the documents.
