This file contains eighty-five letters from Cecil Sharp to Oppé, his wife, Valentine, and their son, Denys, dated between 18 Apr 1905-13 May 1924, concerning a variety of personal and professional matters, including discussion relating to Sharp's work with folk song and dance and their 1924 book, The Dance.

-newspaper cutting about Sharp's work

-booklet advertising a 'lecture recital' by Sharp relating to his folk song collecting in the Appalachian Mountains

-booklet advertising the English Folk Dance Society summer school in 1919

-two letters from E.J. Nicol and Diana Hunter, Cecil Sharp House, to Valentine Oppé, dated 29 July & 21 Nov 1950, concerning a proposed mural to be painted as part of the reconstruction fund. Also includes a notice for an AGM on 25 Nov 1950
