Correspondence

Scope and Content

This file contains letters sent to Armide from family, friends and colleagues. For most, only brief description of the contents have been included here as many letters do not have specific themes but rather discuss a wide variety of matters. Most frequent in these letters are themes relating to upper class and aristocratic society and the arts, in particular music and theatre.

Many correspondents only signed with their given name or a nickname, so it has not been possible to offer much contextual information on them in the catalogue.
