This file contains correspondence between the Club and Oppé (all Oppé's letters are in draft form), dated between 26 Sep-3 Nov 1916, concerning Oppé's apprehensions about how the proposed exhibition of early English drawings was being organised. In particular that - as the drawings would be loaned from only two collections - the exhibition was being used to raise the value of those collections.
