Administrative / Biographical History

Elizabeth Weston Flower (1842-1920) was an artist, specialising in paintings of flowers, and married to solicitor and art collector, Wickham Flower. They were friends with James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) and bought several of his works. They lived in Egerton Crescent, not too far from the Oppé family home in Cheyne Walk, and made acquaintance with Valentine through Paul.
