This file contains thirty-six letters from Robert Hitchens, dated between [c 1899]-1 Apr 1906, concerning various matters including the organisation of various meetings and travels between him and Oppé, as well as discussion of his work, in particular his novel, The Londoners.

Also includes two letters from A. Kabich, New University Club, dated 8 December 1899 & 24 January 1900, concerning a recommendation from Hitchens for Oppé to undertake some work as an art critic.

Robert Smythe Hichens (1864-1950) was a British novelist and playwright known for his satires of the 1890s.
