These papers appear to have been in the possession of Stuart Rivers, then president of the Llandudno Conservation Society, which was in cautious support of the theme park scheme. The proposal which was designed by Brian Lingard Architects on behalf of Mostyn Estates was controversial locally and the planning process lasted a number of years from initial application in 1984 to final rejection in 1988.
