Spelsbury is a small parish lying between Woodstock and Chipping Norton.
Most of the parish records were originally deposited at the Bodleian Library by the P.C.C.in 1982. The exception to this is the volume of accounts/minutes relating to John Cary's Almshouse Charity which was deposited with Oxfordshire Archives as Acc 4242 in May 1997. Further deposits were made as Acc 4768 im July 2000, Acc 5770 in September 2008, Acc 6395 in September 2015 and as Acc 6825 in January 2020.
