This collection contains 19 bundles of deeds relating to Long Clawson and Nether Broughton, Leicestershire, 1616-1892.

Administrative / Biographical History

This collection concerns the purchase of lands by John Moore of Long Clawson, during the eighteenth century, and the subsequent disposal of these lands by his family and his executor, Thomas Clifton, to Thomas Hallam of Nottingham.

Arrangement

The documents remain in the bundles in which they were received. Catalogue numbers refer to bundles rather than to individual manuscripts.
