Custodial History

E Mitford Abraham gave the collection to the Mills Section of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1956. In 1977 his daughter Margaret Fell James (nee Abraham) gave the Mills Section permission to keep the material and allow access to it.
In February 2004 it was transferred to the Mills Archive along with the other collections held by the Mills Section. The glass slides arrived at the Mills Archive in boxes labelled A-F, with the slides in each box numbered. This order has been preserved.
