Scope and Content

DRAFT LETTER: J. Thomas, Harbour Office, Amlwch Port to [?] the Unions or press re the plight of coasting boats, stating that unemployment among 'our' sailors was rife as the British coaster was being driven into dock through unfair foreign competition and citing examples. The letter writer suggests that it is the duty of every Transport worker 'to stand by his brother the sailor and refuse to handle any cargo which is brought into our ports by the foreigner who cuts the freights'.
