The collection consists of subject files collected by and slides taken by Ifor Roberts on topics of interest to him such as the Dolgarrog aluminium works, local railways and other transport and of the Conwy Valley area; also a 1920 photograph album taken of the aluminium works.

Administrative / Biographical History
Ifor Roberts worked for 43 years for Aluminium Corporation Limited, Dolgarrog as a metallurgist, finishing his career there as technical manager. He had a number of interconnecting interests including the history of the Dolgarrog works, and the related rail, water and road networks. He was a founder member of the Llandudno and Conwy Valley Railway Society.
