Scope and Content

Each of the two photographs is labelled, although the titles given differ. One photograph is labelled as 'Drawing'. The other is labelled 'Drawing (standing figure - red hair with arms sideways)', later amended to 'Standing Figure - Red Hair with Arms Sideways'. The labels relate to the British Council exhibition at the Venice Biennale, 1958, and the subsequent European touring exhibition. One photograph also bears a Whitechapel Art Gallery stamp, relating to the 'Kenneth Armitage Retrospective 1948-1959' exhibition.

Medium: ink, chalk, and wash.
