Dr Kate Bushnell to Miss Forsaith

Scope and Content

Written from Southport; Address given, 10 Finchley Rd, St John's Wood, London.

Gives out time plans for her and Mrs Andrew's tours round Britain addressing meetings: Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh. Just had a meeting at Southport under the aegis of the WLA [Women's Liberal Association] and BWTA [British Women's Temperance Association]. They have been putting in all the work possible in that neighbourhood in view of the BWTA Executive meeting there on 22 Feb. The president of the BWTA is 'an almost bigoted Lady Henry Somerset's partisan'. They are going to the special BWTA meeting and hope with God's help 'to win some who are holding out stubbornly for LHS.' They think that if the BWTA 'can indeed be induced to acquit itself nobly then the trouble over LHS will be about ended for England. Envelope attached
