Scope and Content

Incomplete letter addressed to 'Dear Friends'. Thinks it will be settled for HJ Wilson and Mr Gledstone to go to America. Hopes the 'New Abolitionists' [see letter of 17 Feb] will be out in the coming week. She dreads less some mistakes should be left in it 'although George and Mr Stuart went over it more than once'. She is beginning to be overworked again battling with illegible letters in German, Italian and French.

Date: 'The New Abolitionists'. See Note for letter of 17 Feb. This fixes date of letter to 1876. 'The lateness of the 2nd Reading of the Repeal Bill'. This did not take place until 19 Jul 1876. (Rough Record 320)
