Dr Palasciano to Mrs Butler

Scope and Content

'Answer to Mrs Butler's letter from Dr Palasciano. From the Archives. Rome Apr 27 1875'

He is a Sanitary Inspector who took part in the inauguration of the new system of supervision on prostitution in Naples in 1861; and also a Member of the International Commission appointed by the 11th Section of the Medical Congress of all Nations in Paris in 1873 for the prevention of syphilis. He sees no possibility of joining in the undertaking of the society as he has only studied one side of the question. He sends, however, his best wishes for the success of their 'noble efforts.'
