Written from Wooler, Northumberland
Says before they leave St Andrews for France, she wants to tell them of a correspondence she has had with Josephine. Josephine has been going through a religious experience just as she did at her age but unlike little J. she has no she felt she could consult [Little J. was born in 1887]. She first consulted her about things in the Bible, then about matters of conduct and judging other people.. I will only add that 'her latest letters to me have been so beautiful that I can never forget them as long as I live ... and I see the light of Heaven on your dear child.
She asks them to note that around 22 May she is leaving the house where she is for another one in Wooler, near the station, while repairs are done.
