Mr Llewelyn to Mrs Wilson

Scope and Content

Incomplete letter. Written from Liverpool.

Llewelyn was Josephine Butler's secretary.

Mrs Butler sent Colonel Alexander's (see letter 1 Jul) to read. She had also received a bill from Mr Banks (secretary of the London Office) for £109 being the Ladies' National Association's share of loss on 'The Shield' for one year. Mrs Tanner will have to pay it out of her pocket as the Ladies' National Association is without funds. Not to hurry about appointing Mr Stuart as her co-secretary. Mr Stuart finally consented to relieve Henry Wilson of co-secretaryship (with JB) of Federation on 31 Aug 1895. Mr Wilson had only accepted the office on 19 Mar on a temporary basis.

End part of letter missing.
