Photocopy of letter. Written from Serrieres, Neuchatel, Switzerland. Amelie Humbert found her a room which gives her a quiet place to write and think but only a mile from her friends at Neuchatel, and with a lovely view of the Alps. She hopes she will be able to write something worthy about him. Mr Stead offered her a large sum of money to write 'Reminiscences of my own Life' which he would publish, but she refused his offer. She wishes not to speak of herself but of her husband.
