M Wilson to the Executive

Scope and Content

Memorandum. Written from Sheffield. Refers to how hard they have tried to find a suitably qualified man to add to their staff. Believes that James Patterson Gledstone is suitable. He was living in Sheffield as the minister of Queen Street Independent Chapel when he (Mr W) first came to Sheffield. Gledstone and his wife were most helpful allies of their cause in the town. He asks them to meet soon for the purpose of interviewing Gledstone. Re salary: he would like £350 but would be content with any sum down to £250.
