Is sending 3000 handbills by next train from Manchester in hopes they will be in time for meeting that night. Mrs Bright, Miss Becker and other friends will be here (writing from the LNA rooms at Manchester) till 6.30 to-night to attend to any message sent.

Administrative / Biographical History

This was the address of the Headquarters of the Women's movement in Manchester directed by Miss Lydia Becker. She first became prominent in organising the campaign for Women Suffrage but she also supported Josephine Butler and was on the Committee of the Bristol LNA
