Re 'The Report' suggested that her friend should close with a reference to their hopes of obtaining a Repeal this session and the wonderful difference that would make not only to their country but in all countries where this struggle was being carried on. To refer also to the International Congress of the Federation being held in London that summer.

2 Mar [1886] Date: no year given but it was in the Spring of 1886 that JB and her husband started out on the journey to stay with the Meuricoffres at Naples going via Paris, Cannes, Genoa, Rome to Naples. 'Should we be so happy as to obtain Repeal this session.' Repeal Bill passed Commons 2 Apr 1886. Repeal Bill passed Lords 13 Apr 1886. Repeal Bill received Royal Assent 16 Apr. 'The Triennial International Congress of the Federation will be held in London in the summer of this year.' It was held 28 Jun - 2 Jul 1886.
