Written from Liverpool. Complains of her Commission's delay and thinks there is little hope of the Report being issued in time for legislation this Session. She therefore begs them all to show they are still resolute for Repeal; write 'Remonstrances' publicly signed to Mr Gladstone and their MPs, call meetings and otherwise agitate.

'The Royal Commissioners ... their forthcoming Report' - The Royal Commission set up to investigate the workings of the CD Acts met in Dec 1870 and ended on 13 May 1871. The Report was published on 7 Jul. JB was called to give her evidence on 18 Mar 1871.
