Is glad to hear that she likes drawing faces; tells her what she (JB) found hardest to draw when she was learning to draw. 'I am very weak, but sit up a while every day in my room; Dindin [her sister Emily, Mrs Thomas] is so kind and helpful and active [see letter of 27 Jun where she refers again to her sister's kindness] Wishes Josephine would come and sit on her bed and play her mandolin to her.
