Mrs Elizabeth Andrew to 'My dear friend' [Miss Forsaith]

Scope and Content

Postcard. Written from 21 Gunton Road, Clapton.

Verified by telegram as to whether her letter was placed in Lady C[arlisle]'s hands Tuesday afternoon. But in spite of the fact that Lady C had that letter of full explanation that Tuesday afternoon 'yet she acted that unfair part toward me yesterday as if I had broken faith and not kept my engagement; there is a sad lack of straightforwardness in this thing that pains me more than I can express. It is a great disappointment.'
