Written from Liverpool. She cannot come to them on Wednesday and spend a quiet evening with them but will have to come on Thursday. Details of who are coming to the meeting; regrets her husband cannot leave his work but is writing a letter which can be read at the Conference. At the last LNA Committee meeting at Alderly Edge a chief point considered was literature for use at Elections. Thought his paper was good 'But Mrs Bright will approve nothing which has allusion to our religious objections'.

1. Meeting at Sheffield - This meeting was to organise the Northern Counties League and was held on Thursday 29 Aug 1872. HJ Wilson was appointed hon sec pro tem but became so permanently. (Shield, 7 Sep 1872 p 1074). RR 205. This was the first regional body and was followed by several others

2. 'Alderley Edge' - was the home of Mr and Mrs Jacob Bright
